kirdowsimple.vscode

kirdowsimple.vscode is a vscode port of my kirdowsimple.nvim colorscheme plugin for neovim.

Everything is plain foreground on plain background. The only colored syntax element is comments, which for light theme uses the Visual Studio 2013 Express comment color, and for dark theme uses the Visual Studio 2017 comment color. Both of which are green.

Two variants:

  • Kirdow Simple Dark - kirdow-simple-dark, white on black
  • Kirdow Simple Light - kirdow-simple-light, black on white

Usage

Open the Command Palette, run Preferences: Color Theme and pick one of the variants. Or in settings.json:

"workbench.colorTheme": "kirdow-simple-dark"

Bracket pair colorization is overridden to plain foreground, so brackets stay monochrome.

Building

The theme files in themes/ are generated from the palettes in scripts/build.js. Edit the script, not the JSON.

npm run build # regenerate themes/
npm run package # build and create a .vsix
